A HISTORY (2)_1.jpg

STRAW RAIN
CAPE COAT

Known as "bó shì" in ancient times, it originated in the pre-Qin period of China. It is the earliest traditional raincoat, made of thatch or palm trees.

TORTOISE-SHELL HATS

It originated in the Yuan Dynasty seven hundred years ago.
They are shaped like the shell of a turtle. When a farmer was working, the slow movement of these hats along the fields gave rise to their name.

PARKA

Appearing in English for the first time in 1625, Parka means "animal skin" and is a coat for Eskimos to proof cold and rain.

TRENCH COAT

MACKINTOSH

Burberry, from the UK, faced the war with the UK and is also a symbol of the British spirit.

The founder developed a Abrasion resistance fabric called "gabardine", which is also crisp, waterproof and breathable.  Then he designed the uniforms of the First World War for the British Army, and the trench coat has since become a classic representative of the brand.

In 1823, the Scottish inventor Mackintosh accidentally poured rubber on the cloth, and was pleasantly surprised to find its excellent waterproof ability, which inspired him to make this new waterproof clothMade into a raincoat idea.
However, the tailors at that time were not interested in him, so Mackintosh had no choice but to set up his own brand. The raincoat produced is the ancestor of modern raincoats, and the brand is still passed down today.
